As a private practice family law attorney, she has handled divorces, both contested and uncontested, paternity cases, child support, modifications, domestic violence injunctions, custody cases, alimony, and high-net worth/complex asset distribution cases.
In March 2011, she opened the Law Office of Ophelia Bernal-Mora, P.A. where she focused her practice exclusively on Divorce/Family/Marital Law. Ophelia has substantial evidentiary trial experience in both Criminal and Family Law cases and has effectively represented well over a thousand clients in her career.

She has also been named a Top 100 Family Lawyer by The National Advocates, recognizing the best attorneys in each state.
In March 2016, the Law Office of Ophelia Bernal-Mora became Bernal-Mora & Nickolaou, P.A. after partnering with Attorney Andrew Nickolaou.
