Officials in Pembroke Pines are attempting to locate a missing woman and her daughter. They have been missing since March 3rd, and police believe the woman took the child with her when she left the child’s father. Detectives think that the woman may attempt to move to Germany with the child without the permission of the child’s father.
According to reports, the woman’s name is Nicole Raphael, and the toddler’s name is Kimberly. Police believe that the woman may currently be in the Orlando area with her daughter. Wherever the woman is, she is not allowing the father to have contact with his child. Anyone who may know the whereabouts of the pair should contact the Pembroke Pines police, or their local police department, with any pertinent information.
Officials are reminding those going through a divorce, or custody issues, that preventing a parent from seeing their child— excluding cases of abuse— may not be in the best interest of the child. If a person believes their spouse to be an unfit parent, there are legal channels to pursue. Going into hiding is rarely helpful, and it may actually hurt you legally when you surface and seek custody of your child.
